My Dream

In the wake of great devastation from the catastrophe in Haiti here is My Dream as written in Deeper Than Rhymes / Art, Love, and Poetry.

Happy MLK Day!

MY DREAM

I have a dream that Martin Luther King Junior's didn't go to waste
And this nightmare we're living in today will someday go away
I have a dream that White owners would let Black businesses succeed
And supersede their wealth by not holding us back with greed
I have a dream that the institutionalization of the poor would stop
And the inhumane situations the working class work in would rot
I have a dream that men would be men and women be women
instead of cross-gendering roles know that two opposites make a whole
I have a dream a cure for all diseases will be made public
Not private to only the rich and powerful but primarily to those who need it
I have a dream that no one will go hungry or be without shelter
because the surplus will serve just causes to help those unhealthy
I have a dream that the United Nations would initiate world peace
And eradicate all nuclear weapons here or overseas
I have a dream that all Religions would realize the greater good
And come together on one accord lest the Lord be misunderstood
I have a dream that human beings would know the meaning of life
To love as much as possible not in the flesh but in the spirit of what is right
Its not by might that men can move mountains but through unshakable faith
I believe that my dreams will come true because a new world is on the wake
